Growing Up in Faith
David was raised by a bi-vocational traveling preacher and a devoted mother whose life revolved around faith, family, and service. Church was not simply a weekly routine—it was a way of life. Through regular preaching, gospel music, and the guidance of his parents, David learned the importance of faith, respect, hard work, and reverence for God from an early age.
One lesson remained with him throughout his life: God is always present. His father’s memorable sermon, “The All-Seeing Eye of God,” became a lasting reminder that nothing escapes God’s sight.

Meet David R.
Armentrout
At the age of twelve, David experienced the heartbreaking loss of his father. The tragedy deeply affected his family and marked the beginning of years filled with grief, questions, and personal struggle.
Although those difficult seasons led him away from God for a time, the faith planted during childhood never disappeared. At twenty-seven, David surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, later answering God’s call to preach and dedicate his life to sharing the Gospel.
Today, David is the father of three children and the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren. His writing reflects a lifetime shaped by hardship, redemption, and unwavering faith.
His first book, You Be The Judge, was written to encourage readers to trust God’s Word, examine their hearts honestly, and discover the hope found in Jesus Christ.
